My deceased father was going to cross the stress. My daughter and I wanted to join him. My daughter rushed and crossed. I was stuck in slow motion and couldn’t reach her but saw a car coming and started yelling. She got hit by the car then got up and kept running. I still couldn’t catch her then finally our family friends caught her. When I reached her she was frantically crying telling me no one came to help her not even me. I told her I was sorry but I was trying and couldn’t reach her. The whole time my dad was off to the side watching
Dreams involving deceased loved ones often touch on themes of loss, grief, and unresolved emotions. In your dream, several layers can be interpreted:
Desire for Connection: Your father represents a guiding or protective presence, and the desire to join him may suggest a longing for comfort or advice that you miss since his passing. It could indicate that you are seeking wisdom or support from his memory, especially during challenging times.
Parental Struggles: Your daughter crossing the street could symbolize her independence or the natural progression of growing up. Your inability to reach her in time might reflect feelings of helplessness or concern about your daughter's safety and well-being. This could point to a fear of not being able to protect her as she grows.
Slow Motion and Fear: The slow-motion aspect of the dream often indicates feelings of being stuck or unable to act in a situation that is important to you. It may symbolize anxieties about not being able to control certain circumstances in your life, especially regarding your children's experiences.
Guilt and Responsibility: Your daughter's frantic crying and the assertion that no one helped her may represent your own fears of inadequacy as a parent. It shows a deep emotional response to feeling like you have not been able to provide the support needed during a critical moment, even if that’s not the reality.
The Watching Figure: Your father observing the situation could signify a belief that he is still with you in spirit, watching over both you and your daughter. It could suggest a sense of expectation or a call to seek guidance from the lessons he imparted during his lifetime.
Overall, this dream can embody your emotions surrounding grief, your role as a mother, and your desire for connection with loved ones who have passed. It may also highlight your inner fears about the changes and challenges that come with parenthood, particularly as your daughter grows more independent. Reflecting on these themes may help you process your feelings and concerns in your waking life.
